The international deployment of rapid reaction forces on peace-keeping and peace-enforcing missions is gaining increasing importance, thus raising the demand for light, mobile vehicles which offer appropriate protection for the crew in line with the threat faced.

Thanks to its flexibility, mobility and therefore rapid operational readiness, the range of wheeled armoured vehicles produced by Rheinmetall provides airmobile forces with ideal support.

Boxer – Armoured transport vehicle

The Boxer armoured transport vehicle is being produced under a bi-national programme. Highly mobile, it is a state-of-the-art wheeled vehicle whose modular design permits a wide variety of mission-specific configurations. Consisting of a uniform drive module, the Boxer vehicle family's user-specific mission modules can be quickly exchanged. A number of mission variants are currently under development, including a troop carrier for transporting an infantry section, a field ambulance, a combat engineering section vehicle, C4I and C2 command vehicles, a logistics vehicle and a battlefield maintenance vehicle.

Rheinmetalls research and development demonstrator JODAA fascinates with its precedent-stetting modular concept and combines several future technologies in one vehicle. The range of technical capabilities comprises from remote controlled driving to supported by camera systems to autonomous operation of several components.

The Fuchs Evolution is the logical advancement of the tried-and-tested Fuchs armoured transport vehicle 1. Mobility, protection and reliability are the key features of Rheinmetall’s 6x6 armoured platform.

FUCHS 1A8 – Armoured transport vehicle

This version of the Fuchs (Fox) armoured transport vehicle features a level of protection against ballistic fire, landmines and IEDs unique in a vehicle of its class. Owing to its substantial payload, the vehicle can be configured for a huge variety of missions, and is much appreciated by users for its extreme reliability. When equipped with the latest command and in-formation system, the vehicle can be included in network-enabled operations. To enhance the operational effectiveness, the Fuchs 1A8 can be readily equipped with a remote control weapon station.

CARACAL air assault vehicle

The brand new CARACAL is Rheinmetall’s answer to the upcoming airborne vehicle requirements in Germany, The Netherlands and various armies around the world.

Survivor R 4x4 – Protected multirole vehicle

Jointly developed by Rheinmetall MAN Military Vehicles (RMMV) and Achleitner, the Survivor R offers a perfect combination of mobility, protection and payload delivering an optimal support solution for modern armed and special forces in all operating environments.

Based on a 330hp (242kW) 4 x 4 truck chassis by MAN, the combined all-wheel drive expertise of MAN and Achleitner, the Survivor R is equipped with an armoured crew compartment by Rheinmetall Defence, combining proven series production and automotive components with state-of-the-art protection technology. This making it one of the most cost-effective solutions available today.

Wheeled self-propelled Howitzer

The Rheinmetall wheeled howitzer provides rapid coming into/out of action and to leave the firing position swiftly, high rate of fire, increased firing range as well as enhanced precision through the use of the of the combat proven Rheinmetall 155mm L52 elevating mass and the use of JBMoU-compliant modular charges and projectiles.

Yak – Multipurpose vehicle

The protected multipurpose vehicle Yak is designed for international operations, meeting the growing need of the armed forces for protected transport capacity. Thanks to its modular design, it can be very quickly modified from one mission to the next. It is thus able to take on a whole host of different missions, ranging from medical evacuation, military law enforcement and bomb disposal operations to monitoring and reconnaissance, command and control, border protection, transport and logistics.
