Rheinmetall at I/ITSEC: A leading provider in all areas of simulation-supported training
Statement by Ulrich Sasse, Managing Director Rheinmetall Defence Electronics, President, Simulation and Training Division:
Realistic simulation can reduce costs while simultaneously enabling organizations to achieve a very high level of training effectiveness and enhance the mission preparedness of the armed forces. In order to achieve this high level of effectiveness, the technological standards as well as the customer’s specific needs and budgetary considerations have to be taken into account.
As a leading provider in all areas of simulation-supported training – military and civilian alike – Rheinmetall’s training product portfolio encompasses land, sea and air applications.
Our spectrum of simulation products ranges from individual training systems to highly complex, networked systems for joint and combined operations training. Prominent examples include the Leopard Gunnery Skills Trainer, the ANTares mobile tactical training environment and, of course, our live training centres such as the GÜZ combat training centre we jointly operate with the German Army.
Thanks to our modular design approach, we offer our customers optimum solutions tailored to their specific training needs. The flexibility of our systems facilitates easy upgradeability to meet evolving training requirements. Furthermore, our design concept allows incorporation of existing technologies such as the application of serious gaming technologies or the implementation of original manufacturers’ equipment. This approach allows us to meet the customer demands with regard to cost, reliability and quality.
We are a company that doesn’t just want to keep pace with technological progress but actually uses new technology to shape the future on behalf of our customers.
Today our simulators are in service in over 35 countries and we are actively working to extend our market reach into new regions. A series of successful recent orders underscores the tremendous trust our customers have in our training technology. For us this is a major incentive to work even harder. We always aim to turn our customers into long-term partners. Nothing is more important to our future success than sustained customer satisfaction.
